Surabaya – MI Masjid Nasional Al-Akbar Surabaya organized a Teacher Training Workshop in collaboration with Mentari Books with the theme “Nurturing Students to Think and Work Scientifically.” The training was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 14.00 to 16.00 WIB at the Ruang Pembinaan MIMAS
The workshop aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of how to guide students in developing scientific thinking skills and encourage active learning in the classroom. Teachers were introduced to practical strategies and teaching approaches that help students explore ideas, analyze problems, and work scientifically during the learning process.

The training was guided by three trainers from Mentari Books who delivered the materials and facilitated interactive discussions with the participants. During the session, teachers were encouraged to share experiences and explore teaching strategies that support students’ curiosity and critical thinking.

The workshop was attended by several teachers including homeroom teachers of Grade 1 and Grade 2 ICP Regular classes**, teachers from MTs, and other educators involved in the learning program. Through activities like this, MI Masjid Nasional Al-Akbar Surabaya continues to support professional development for teachers in order to improve the quality of education and learning experiences for students.
